Fort Lauderdale Prep School is licensed by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (US ICE) to issue the I-20 student visa for visiting international students.

For almost 40 years Fort Lauderdale Prep School has educated students from throughout South Florida and abroad. As a licensed and fully accredited educational institution our transcripts and grades are accepted in all countries and at all universities.

Fort Lauderdale Prep School (FLP) is centrally located in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Our school is small by design and accepts 200 students. We provide educational services for students from age 4 through 12th grade.

In smaller classrooms teachers have the time to focus on each individual student. We are very good at helping students learn English in a safe and comfortable environment. We have also been extremely successful at transitioning our students from ESOL into formal English speakers and writers.

Most international students are able to arrange their own housing in the diverse South Florida community. In cases where student accommodations are required we can make individual arrangements on a case-by-case basis.

We also have the ability to accommodate students who have come to the U.S. in groups of 6, 8, 10 or more, along with their own chaperone. We can, in that situation, provide housing, transportation, an American chaperone and arrange complete care. This is an ideal arrangement as it allows students to experience the US, attend a top rated private school and strengthen their English skills. It also allows for students as young as elementary school or whole extended families of students to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

Homestay
Living with an American family can be a great way to start your life in the USA! International students will learn about American culture, become better oriented to their community, and improve their American English skills. Host families will look after their international students while they are staying with them providing three meals per day and transportation to and from school if a school bus is not provided. American Homestay Network (AHN) specializes in placing international students with carefully screened and fully trained American host families.
